Donald H. Bunker & Associates Affiliation Agreement
The two law firms, Sarin & Co., established in Chandigarh, India in 1932, and Donald H. Bunker and Associates, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates since 1995, entered into an Affiliation Agreement effective 20 August 2011.
Mr. Ian Veall from DHB & Associates had kindly accepted Sarin & Co’s offer to fly into Chandigarh to the Sarin & Co. office for the signing of the affiliation agreement between the two firms. The event was a grand success which got considerable news coverage and was graced by the then Consul General of Canada, Mr. Scot Slessor (considering the close tie between DHB & Associates and Canada, this was only befitting of the event).
The Affiliation Agreement has since been extended every two years. This Affiliation saw the enhancement of the existing strengths of both firms including, in particular, an expansion of Sarin and Co.’s aviation legal practice through access to the international aviation legal expertise of Donald H. Bunker and Associates that spans more than 40 years.
The complementary strengths of each firm, combined, provide clients, located in India and the Arabian Gulf, with prompt, comprehensive, affordable and practical legal and financial advice unsurpassed in the profession. Our most coveted project has been assisting a number of aircraft lessors repossess their aircraft from India.
With India’s aviation market forecasted to grow at exponential rates over the next 20 years and requiring in excess of 2,300 aircraft worth over $320 bn, the firms are well placed to meet and exceed the requirements of aviation operators (commercial, corporate and private), governmental authorities and related organizations in India and abroad.
SGI Aviation Services Cooperation Agreement
Sarin & Co., established in Chandigarh, India in 1932, and SGI Aviation Services (“SGI Aviation”), based in Amsterdam, Netherlands since 2007, announced the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the two entities on the 25th November 2019. The Cooperation Agreement was signed by the two entities in Amsterdam, Netherlands effective 25 November 2019. Mr. Nitin Sarin, Managing Partner, Sarin & Co. flew to for the signing of the cooperation agreement.

The Cooperation Agreement will see Sarin & Co. and SGI Aviation, collaborate on their respective areas of expertise and services whereby they can, in the future, in addition to sharing each other’s knowledge and expertise also jointly offer each other’s services to their clients in India.
